What happens to my current website during the rebuild?
It stays live until the new one is ready. On launch day I point your domain at the new site and the old one goes dark. No gap, no downtime.
Nothing changes until launch day
The new site gets built on its own private address. You review it on your phone as many times as you want. Your customers keep landing on the old site the whole time and never see a work in progress.
Keeping whatever Google already knows about you
If your old site has pages that show up on Google, I set up redirects so those old links land on the matching new pages. That way you keep the ranking you already earned instead of starting over.
Your domain and email
Your domain name stays yours and your email keeps working. The only thing that changes is where the domain points. If your email runs through the old hosting company, tell me before launch so it gets moved first.
If you do not know who owns your domain
This happens a lot. A previous designer or a nephew set it up years ago. I can look it up and help you get control back before we touch anything. Sorting the domain out is part of the job, not an extra.
